Through the research and activities of the Office for Public Engagement and Scholarship, UOE provides a greater understanding of how university engagement enhances faculty scholarship and community progress. Activities include: developing measurement and benchmarking criteria for engagement; defining outreach and engagement; investigating policies and practices for weaving engagement into the institutional culture; and studying processes and impacts of university-community collaborations.
