KyungSook Lee, Ph.D., is a research associate for University Outreach and Engagement (UOE) at Michigan State University. Lee has extensive experience working in UOE since 2008 on community-based research projects, including Wiba Anung, Promoting Academic Success, Healthy Babies, and Head Start on Science, for which she serves as data manager, data analyst, and report writer. Her work focuses on maintaining complex longitudinal data sets and conducting sophisticated analyses of quantitative data using various statistical software tools. The statistical methods she has experienced include latent variable modeling, multilevel models, longitudinal analysis, psychometrics, survival analysis, missing data imputation, and complex samples.
Lee has research interests in the application of quantitative methods in community-based research projects that address family environmental factors, classroom quality, and cognitive and social–emotional development for young children at risk. She is interested in exploring and assessing the sustainability of addressing complex problems within social and human behavioral systems using system dynamics modeling techniques.
