The yearly “Thinkers and Doers” event brings together key stakeholders and community members from the MSU and Eastside Lansing communities. In light of the rise in COVID-19 cases in the Greater Lansing Area community in recent weeks, this year’s event will be held virtually via Zoom. The event is free for attendees.

This year’s event will discuss and explore Affordable Housing in the Eastside Lansing community. The goal of the panel is to address Eastside community members’ concerns about the state of affordable housing, the challenges to affordable housing, and the opportunities to address the lack of affordable housing options in the community. This year's panel features Rawley Van Fossen, Executive Director of the Capital Area Housing Partnership, Brian McGrain, Director of Economic Development and Planning for the City of assistant professor and housing specialist in the Urban & Regional Planning Program in the School of Planning, Design and Construction at MSU. There will be time after the panelists speak for live Q&A with attendees.
