EAST LANSING, MI —The 12th annual Michigan State University Science Festival released its full schedule of free events celebrating and exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Beginning April 1, and continuing throughout the month, community members are invited to attend events held on MSU’s campus and select sites throughout the state.
“We’re looking forward to offering another year of educational opportunities rooted in the disciplines of STEAM for learners of all ages,” said Kwesi Brookins, vice provost for University Outreach and Engagement. “By providing a wide range of events led by experts in their respective areas, we hope to increase curiosity and promote science literacy in communities across Michigan.”
This year the festival is thrilled to welcome featured speaker, Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of Braiding Sweetgrass, to Grewal Hall in Lansing on April 20. She will discuss the importance of cultivating a reciprocal relationship with the living world through both scientific and Indigenous perspectives.
