Gretchen is an outreach specialist with Michigan State University's Community Evaluation Programs focusing on Michigan's Great Start Readiness Program and other out-of-school time programming. She joined UOE in 2024 with more than 17 years of experience as an evaluator for a variety of local, state, and federal grants and other programming focused on improving the lives of children, youth, and families.
Gretchen earned a Master of Social Work in organizational and community practice from Michigan State University in 2004 and has taught graduate- and undergraduate-level classes at MSU in research methods, statistics, and program evaluation. She enjoys findings ways to expand her data visualization skills and equity-based program evaluation methods, while supporting programs that elevate the voices of lived experience while focusing on social justice issues.
