International Youth Day 2026: Innovation Collaboratory
Zoom
August 12, 2026 | 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
In celebration of International Youth Day 2026, the Center for Global Learning and Innovation, in partnership with Michigan State University’s University Outreach and Engagement (UOE), invites you to join the Innovation Collaboratory, a dynamic virtual gathering that amplifies youth voices, fosters intercultural collaboration, and showcases how young people are creating innovative solutions for communities around the world.
Under this year’s theme, “Youth Voices, Community Futures,” the Innovation Collaboratory brings together emerging youth leaders, global changemakers, and university experts for a meaningful exchange of ideas, experiences, and solutions. Through youth-led presentations, professional development conversations, and collaborative dialogue, participants will explore how young people are advancing sustainability, social innovation, cultural understanding, entrepreneurship, education, and community transformation across diverse local and global contexts.
The event will feature inspiring stories from five panels of youth presenters representing countries including the United States, India, Australia, Zambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and beyond. Participants will hear how young innovators are addressing real-world challenges—from sustainable agriculture and food security to digital innovation, youth advocacy, cultural exchange, accessibility, mentorship, and community empowerment. Experts and youth coordinators will help facilitate conversations that connect ideas across borders and highlight the power of youth-driven change.
Join us for a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and global learning as we explore how today’s youth are shaping more inclusive, resilient, and connected communities—and building the futures we all share.
