Looking for new ideas to involve students in community-engaged research? Rex LaMore, director of Michigan State University’s Center for Community Economic Development and faculty member in the Urban and Regional Planning Program, will share a model of student-led, faculty-guided community- engaged research projects. LaMore will share the pedagogical foundation for this model and variations of it over the past several years. Techniques for overcoming challenges and ensuring success will be discussed. The workshop will include discussion and activities to guide participants in the modification and application of the model for involving their own students in community-engaged research.

This is the first workshop in the Advances in Community-Engaged Research Series.
