The particular focus for this workshop will be on faculty at mid-career who are thinking about the possibilities for promotion to full professor or about how to transition to new modes of engaging the public.

This workshop will help you:
  • Imagine the communities with which your scholarly work might engage, and the ways to best engage them
  • Develop a professional presence online, with tools and support provided
  • Connect your scholarship with that online presence, in order to increase the public impact of your work
You will leave the workshop with concrete ideas, opportunities, and campus resources. You also will be set up with a digital space, a Domain of One’s Own, upon which to build your digital presence and scholarship.

Light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be available for participants. Because of its intensive and integrated schedule, participants who can attend the full program are encouraged to register by March 2, 2018.

Please contact Scott Schopieray (schopie1@msu.edu) or Patti Stewart (ps@msu.edu) if you have any questions.

This workshop is offered by the College of Arts and Letters, in partnership with the Academic Advancement Network, Communication and Brand Strategy, and University Outreach and Engagement.
