University Outreach and Engagement and the MSU Detroit Center have continued to support and host multiple events with DAPCEP, a nonprofit with 38 years of experience partnering with universities, training programs, and K-12 school systems, with the goal of connecting youth to the best science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) educational experiences in Michigan. DAPCEP aims to provide opportunities for growth and career development of future engineers by cultivating interest and developing skills among students from underrepresented communities in southeast Michigan.
