Greater Lansing Creative Placemaking Summit Series
An annual series of Creative Placemaking Summits has been organized by a steering committee including the university, tri-county governmental units, Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau, Capital Area Transportation Authority, and area cultural leaders. The primary event takes place at the Lansing Center and features nationally recognized leaders in using arts and culture as a driver to foster stronger healthy communities. This event is an outgrowth of the Creative 517 Cultural Economic Development Plan and has led to a variety of tangible and intangible outcomes that improve and diversify the region economically and culturally.
