Wiba Anung

The Wiba Anung (Early Star) project is a partnership between researchers at Michigan State University and the University of Memphis; educators from Bay Mills Community College; and program directors, teachers, and parents of Michigan's American Indian Head Start and Home Visitation programs. Wiba Anung has, for the past eight years, worked to address a variety of developmental and health concerns for American Indian children in Michigan. The project uses a community-based participatory research approach in all of its research and evaluation projects.
