Kathleen Smith is the fiscal and human resources officer for University Outreach and Engagement. Prior to joining UOE, she worked in several college-level units at MSU for well over 30 years. In her role at UOE, she is responsible for managing the fiscal office, human resources, and space assignments—among other things—and reports directly to the associate provost.  Smith is active on the MI-ACE Women of Color Committee (WOCC) and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) in Lansing, Michigan. She often volunteers on projects in her community that help increase self-sufficiency and revitalization. She holds a Master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
